What you're building
A calm, endlessly scrolling starfield with several depth layers — distant tiny stars crawling slowly, nearby bright stars zooming past quickly — creating a genuine illusion of 3D depth using nothing but 2D canvas and different speeds. Move your mouse and the whole field reacts, like steering a spaceship. It's simple to build and stunning to look at.
